Adenau City

Adenau is a lively, traditional but also a cosmopolitan city amidst the Hocheifel. The city itself counts about 3.000 residents but the total urban catchment counts about 20.000 surrounding residents. Thus Adenau is a commerce center with traditional farmer`s markets but also a location with a lot of public facilities.

Many touristic, cultural and sport facilities are open throughout the year. Adenau offers not only the Nürburgring with the legendary Nordschleife, which can be reached by foot, but also a sports ground, tennis court and riding hall.

"Erlebniswelt Nürburgring"

"Erlebniswelt Nürburgring" is a must have seen for every motor sports fan.

First class motor Sports events, business between flip charts and race-karts, PS-adventers and holiday in the "Green Hell" – the Nürburgring, opened 1927 as race track, is an attraction for drivers audiences.

With a mix of 100 races and 200 other events per year - e.g. Rock am Ring, PS-action for everyone and hands on possibilities all around the motor sports theme - the most beautiful, run and challenging race track in the world took the hearts of fans and families by storm.

In addition to the activities above we would like to suggest you to visit some of the famous Eifel attractions.
For example the "Laacher See" with its monastery and the natural history museum. Also an attractive destination is the castle "Eltz" or the town Daun with the surrounding beautiful maars. Especially in spring and summer it is worth to visit the Mosel or Ahr Valley. An interesting excursion destination - not only for kids - is the bell foundry in Brockscheid, the wildlife park in Daun or Gerolstein as well as the water park in Bad Münstereifel.

Attractive activities are offered such as sports ground, tennis court, swimming pool (in the near surrounding), the winter sport area "Hohe Acht" and riding halls.

„Nordic Walking“ attracts more and more fitness fans. Both nordic-fitness-parcours "Hocheifel-Nürburgring" and "Nürburgring" are famous for their varying track sections and breathtaking landscape.

During 6 weeks in summer at every weekend a theater performance takes place in Schuld. This open air theater is located in midst a beatiful and idyllic forest.

In Adenau and surrounding are a lot of interesting places to be see. How about visiting the Eifel farmhouse museum, the "Heimat- und Zunftmuseum", the classic race museum, the historical district "Buttermarkt", the historical center, the "Nürburg" and last but not least the "Nürburgring"?
